Project Name: A History passed
Materials: MIld Steel . Rust
Dimensions: Up to 4m H
Description: A History Passed is a ‘gateway’ piece to a development in Port Stephens traversing the ridge top cutting on Spinnaker Way. Here six oar or spear-like forms appear to be carrying an abstract boat shape through the landscape. The work is intended as a metaphor for the passing on of the knowledge and history of the site.
The works are the artist’s response to the history and bushland character of the prominent Corlette Hill site.
