Axolotl Art Projects is a creative fabrication studio dedicated to the realisation of sculptural and architectural artworks.
We collaborate with artists, architects, designers and developers to translate ambitious ideas into built form — resolving material, structural and fabrication challenges without compromising artistic intent.
We are not the artist.
We are the realisation partner.
Our role begins where vision meets complexity.
From early-stage concept development through to engineering, fabrication and installation, we work closely with artists to ensure that scale, materiality and structural performance align with the original creative direction.
Every project is different.
Every collaboration is tailored.
Some works are produced using Axolotl surface technologies.
Many are not.
What defines our work is not a single material — but our ability to work across glass, metal, terracotta, concrete, stone and composite systems to achieve the desired outcome.
Large-scale public artworks demand more than craft.
They require:
Structural understanding
Engineering coordination
Fabrication precision
Site logistics management
Long-term durability planning
We bring technical capability together with creative sensitivity, ensuring that complex works are delivered safely, sustainably and faithfully.
Our projects span civic spaces, residential developments, commercial precincts and cultural institutions.
Whether permanent installations or architectural integrations, each work is designed to endure — physically and culturally.
Axolotl Art Projects exists to enable artists to push boundaries with confidence, knowing the realisation process is in experienced hands.
We believe material is not decorative — it is narrative.
Through collaboration, experimentation and rigorous fabrication, we help bring sculptural ideas into the public realm at meaningful scale.

Axolotl is an organisation and group of people I hold in high esteem.
MARK McCLELLAND Artist
As an artist I have a lot of ideas for the artworks I would like to create. The tricky bit is capturing these fleeting thoughts and creating enduring public sculptures without losing the ‘magic’ of the first inspiration. For many years I have worked with Axolotl to create my artwork. Axolotl understand and respect the fragile originality of the artist’s vision, and have the design skills, technical acumen and project management expertise to bring these ideas to fruition.

Working with Axolotl allows me to expand my vision of what is possible. It is just incredible to walk into their showroom with an idea and then walk out with my mind blown.
