RIVE ROSHAN

Project Name: Time to Reflect

Location: Hybrid: Objects for Future Homes Exhibition, Powerhouse Museum, Sydney

Commissioner: Powerhouse Museum

Materials: Custom treatment including mica and mirror applied to glass domes.

Description: Dutch immersive art and design duo Rive Roshan were approached by the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney to be involved with their exhibition, Hybrid:Objects for Future Homes. The artists behind the collective, Golnar Roshan and Ruben de la Rive Box were asked to create a piece in response to the theme of disaster and climate change.

Working in close collaboration (across oceans and time zones) with Axolotl Group, we have created a series of sculptural moving light objects that bring the rhythm of nature into the home. Glass domes have been treated by Axolotl with bespoke mica and reflective mirror coatings which when under lighting create ethereal organic reflected forms.
